Gas prices in the US...

Why do Americans complain about 'high' gas prices when the rest of the 'free' world costs about 3, 4x more to fill up? I think you guys are just spoiled. Personally, I think you government should tax gas and use the money to develop public transport systems. Also tax gas guzzler SUVs.

I think I'm one of the few Americans that cheer when the price of oil goes up just to piss everyone else off. You have these people that buy cars that get 8 mpg and then cry foul when it takes $100 to fill up. I don't think we're spoiled as much as we're ignorant for the most part. Believe it or not, right now there is money being collected in the name of taxes.

I drive a weak car that gets 35 mpg and live fairly close to my employer's regional home base. I calculated it up and compared to this time last year it is costing me $1.43/week extra for gasoline. For some of my friends with the high powered engines, it's probably closer to $10 a week.

We have a right to bitch and moan because we the United States are the kings of the world.The KINGS should always pay less than these homeless countries.


I not bitching, but I sure would like to see the United States take over all these ahab countries.We would have more jobs and a gallon of gas would be on the muslims.


Muslims and arabs are very nice people.Their thinking is A-1.If things don't work out for us in the sand, then the United States should blow up all the refineries, then gas is FREE!
